Sesame chilli liver stir fry

Photo taken by Breakfast and Brunch Moderator (Alicia)

I was asked by +Patricia Marvin from my google+ circle, 'how to cook liver without frying it'.
So, it got me thinking, and thinking, and thinking abit more (this was hard work ; ¬P) for someone who generally just cook as I go nothing preplanned this was indeed a CHALLENGE!!!  and I wasn't about to pass up on it, no way.

I had the other half around so he could be my taste tester, so beef liver was added to the shopping list.
And the rest as they say is history, taste tester approved so here it is...

Liver coated in cornflour

Condiments used

You can use Lemon Juice if you don't have this

Process

(1) Wash the liver till water runs clear, remove as much membrane as possible without tearing the tissue and pat dry with kitchen paper

(2) Add cornflour and salt to liver and coat well, let stand for ~5 minutes

(3) Heat sesame oil  in a skillet or Wok

(4) Add the liver and stir fry for ~5 minutes on medium to high heat

(5) Add the wine, soya sauce, pomegranate concentrate and 1/2 of the water. Stir well, cover and reduce heat to medium and cook for ~3-4 minutes

(6) Check that the liver juices are not red
-you can stop here if you like it that way-

(7) Add the spring onion, sweet pepper, chilli, onion and Yuzu (Lemon juice) and stir fry this for 2-3 minutes
-vegetables need to retain some crunch, so don't over do it-

(8) Add remaining water at this stage and return heat to high setting for ~30 seconds, to evaporate excess fluid.
-should look something like this, its blurry cause I was trying to blow off the steam while taking the photo-

                                       THAT'S IT, DONE!!!!

Just serve it how you like it...
